Mizoram Kailawn 4th Edition

AN IDEA STAGE COMPETITION

Mizoram Kailawn was first launched in 2017 under the Mizoram State Entrepreneurship Development and Monitoring Committee (MEDMOC), and successfully organized in 2018 and 2019 by the Entrepreneurship Development Cell (EDC) under MEDMOC. Over the years, the competition has evolved into a major initiative aimed at discovering and supporting early-stage entrepreneurs in the state, providing seed grants to more than 60 individuals to help launch their entrepreneurial ventures.

In its Fourth edition, Mizoram Kailawn is being re-launched by Mizoram Startup Mission (MSUM), with a renewed vision and expanded support mechanisms. The competition aims to create a state-wide entrepreneurial culture that encourages innovation, recognizes talent, and builds a supportive ecosystem for aspiring entrepreneurs.

By facilitating access to institutional support, community recognition, and familial encouragement, Mizoram Kailawn plays a pivotal role in making entrepreneurship a viable and aspirational path for the youth of Mizoram.

OBJECTIVES
- ·      To promote entrepreneurship as a viable and aspirational career path for the youth of Mizoram.
  
  ·      To identify, mentor, and support innovative and impact-driven business ideas.
  
  ·      To provide a structured platform for idea-stage entrepreneurs to validate and refine their concepts.
  
  ·      To facilitate access to seed funding, mentoring, incubation, and market opportunities.
  
  ·      To encourage participation in priority sectors such as green innovation and women-led enterprises.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
- ·    Open to all residents of Mizoram.
  
  ·      Applicants may be individuals or teams proposing new and innovative business ideas.
  
  ·      The stage of the idea must range from ideation to early-stage prototyping.
  
  ·      Special encouragement is extended to students, job seekers, homemakers, unemployed youth, and early-career professionals.
